Sleeping Maya

In this series the tradition of the reclined figure is adopted to convey feelings of frustration and fatigue. Candid photographs of my life are referenced through line etching, engraving, and aquatint.  Each figure blends the literal and figurative as the aforementioned processes abstract the body, reducing detailed forms into values.
